Let the 2025 Beach Reading Season officially begin!

The season actually initiated a while ago – I’ve already been for two bouts of beach reading seaside.

But the opening of beach reading season is always a cause for celebration.

I kicked off my 2025 beach reading season with a day in my favorite beach day get-away, Sperlonga.

While at this wonderful beach spot south of Rome, I was reading Gill Paul’s fabulous Scandalous Women.

This was the engrossing story of two women – Jacqueline Susann and Jackie Collins- whose racy novels shook up the publishing industry in the 1960s. An imagined friendship brings these two women together, and it’s a page-turning read … perfect for the beach.

Wherever you are, hope your beach reading season has opened (or will open) well! (And if you’re in the Southern hemisphere, hope you’ve stored up those great memories of spring and summer days well spent).

Spring and summer provides the perfect opportunity to squeeze in more reading hours. Fresh beach breezes and the crashing of the waves are simply the icing on the cake.
