November’s almost upon us. Will you be NaNo-ing?
We’ve arrived once again, fellow writers. November is just around the corner, and you know what that means…
For a small group of writers (and those, like me, who cheer you on from the sidelines), it means the annual challenge known as National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)
This insane inspiring novel-writing challenge asks writers to commit themselves to writing every day throughout the month until they amass a full novel, or 50,000 words.
Are you thinking about joining the November madness?
If so, I suggest you take a look at an earlier post in which I interviewed Grace Tierney, regional NaNo Coordinator for Ireland. Grace provides lots of great tips and inspiration for those hoping to join the annual writing marathon.
She speaks about the prep work you can do over the next few weeks – research, character building, plot outlines. Her group gets together to help cheer one another on, and to listen and offer encouragement when authors have hit a stumbling block. If you’re thinking of taking part in this writing race, be sure to read this interview to prepare your strategy…
And what about you, writers? Participating in this year’s NaNo? Have you participated in the past? I won’t be taking part, but I am cheering you all on as you embark on this exciting challenge. Good luck to all!
No, but I still want to finish a project during the month of November. So maybe after all, I’m kind of doing NaNoWriMo!
That’s the spirit of it. Good luck with your project, Evelyne!
