It’s time to sign up for the 2015 Matera Women’s Fiction Festival

Matera Women's Fiction FestivalYes, it’s that time of year again.

Time to think about signing up for the Matera Women’s Fiction Festival (24-27 September 2015).

Early bird rates are in effect until 30 June. Take a look at the registration page here.

This festival, held in the beautiful southern Italian “cave town” of Matera (see my earlier posts on Matera, Matera hotels, and its nomination as a European culture capital for 2019), attracts female and (and some) male authors of women’s fiction, and female authors writing romance, mystery, thrillers, YA.

I’ve attended before, see my wrap-up posts for the 2014 festival  and the 2013 festival to get an idea of what’s on offer. There are seminars, agent pitch sessions, brainstorming workshops and social events. I’ve always met such impressive women in Matera, and many have become friends long after our weekend wandering the caves.

I always come away from my Matera get-away inspired and ready to dig into my new projects. So yes, it’s time for me to sign up for September’s event.

And you, writers? How about four days of sun, culture, books, writing, fabulous women, wine and delicious food in this beautiful town?

I’ll look forward to seeing you in Matera!

I wish! Only enjoying my yard as I put the last touches to a few writing projects before summer’s official kick off. Enjoy the conference!

Thanks, Evelyne. But it’s only a hop, skip, and jump away from France. Hope it will coincide with a visit home one year. I’m sure you’d love it.
