Getting a start on my 2026 writing…

We’re a little over a week into 2026, and I’m thinking about writing goals in the new year.

I always enjoy considering my writing goals for the year. I don’t always meet them, but I generally try to hold myself accountable to what I’ve mapped out for myself. With my steadily growing pile of published novels and short stories, this system has served me well so far.

In 2026, I’m working on two novel projects. My latest in my Three Coins series, May Flowers at The Three Coins Inn, is almost ready. I’ve now had it edited and proofread and have done several last read-throughs. I plan on having that out this spring. This is the third in my Three Coins series, and I so enjoyed bringing to life Lisa, Antonio, Sharon and Margherita – the newest guests checking into the inn in beautiful Umbria. And I’ll be reaching out to ARC readers as soon as it’s up for early reviews on NetGalley.

I’m also hard at work on a triple timeline novel set in Rome, and centered around track and field. Across a century, four track athletes – Italo in the 1920s and 1930s, Alessandra in the 1970s and 1980s and Lorenzo and Lucia in modern-day Rome – are coming of age in radically different social and political atmospheres, but all four have the same dream – attaining greatness on the track.

I’m still at the early stages of the writing, but I’m already enjoying bringing these four characters and three timelines of Italian history to life. I’ll have more on this novel as it develops, but my aim is to finalize the writing in 2026 and to release it in 2027.

And I’m hoping to also squeeze in some short stories, preparing for my second short story collections. And I’m hoping to work alongside my team of Feisty Editors to start work on our third Feisty Deeds anthology – working on this anthology with so many talented women authors is always such a pleasure. Let’s hope there’s a third collection in the stars for 2026.

I’d better get moving – I have  alot of work in store in the new year!
