Same writing, new views
One of the lovely things about writing is that, when you travel, you can take it with you.
When I come back to New York most summers, I like to take my writing with me.
I’m lucky to have a shared condominium terrace, and I love to get up there for the views and writing space.
I get such a kick of writing my stories of Italy, with views over Manhattan … it’s always a lot of fun.
Like with reading, I’m very attuned to where I am when I’m writing a story. So I like to think back about how I wrote some chapters in New York… even because I am generally writing about skyscraper-free settings on then Italian peninsula.
What about you, writers?
Do you enjoy taking your writing along when you travel? Do you remember where you did your writing?
Happy writing – whatever your views!
