Have library card, will travel
I’m always thrilled to return to New York, and one of the (many) advantages of my time in New York is whipping out my library card and having the chance to choose between 53 million books spread out across 92 New York Public Libraries across the five burroughs.
My husband is an historian, and he’s always thrilled to spend some time researching in the beautiful reading rooms of the spectacular main New York library structure on Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street. The whole structure is always worth a visit on your next stay in New York.

It was also here that I switched up my iconic red library card for the “special edition” America 250 New York Library card – very cool!
The novels I always wish to check out on my visits are now located directly across the street, at the newly renovated Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library.

The spaces are welcoming, with a huge collection and plenty of reading spaces – and there is also a great terrrace reading space worth exploring when you’re here. Just take a look at the photo above.
I’m also happy to have my own reading space at home, with great views over those New York sunsets. A great place to dip into my new books.

Took full advantage of my special edition America 250 New Yok library card on my visit back home. With plenty of libraries and millions of books, I lacked for nothing. My very own Pursuit of Happiness. : )
I know I’ll always have a fabulous choice of reading materials when I’m back in New York!
Happy library reading to all!
