Lazy beach days and dramatic sunsets in Florida’s panhandle
This past summer, my family and I were taking a cross-country trip in the US, and we wanted a few days of down time, with our older son joining us. And our (landlocked) son wanted some beach time.
So, we decided on a few days in Florida’s panhandle.
It was a great choice.
We spent five lazy days at Panama City Beach, and it was wonderfully relaxing.
We were right on the beachfront, with great views over the stretch of white sand and glorious sunsets each evening.
The water was perfect temperatures and we enjoyed lazing on the beach, reading and diving into the waves.
Absolutely relaxing.
It was also nice to be able to spend time together. My older son had to fly back to his work before his college semester started up, so it was relaxing family time before our long drive back to Washington, DC and the flight back to Italy.
We also enjoyed watching the dolphins swim by like clockwork in the evenings. It was fun to watch them playing in the surf.
Really enjoyed these lazy days and stunning sunsets, and, especially, time with family.
Had a great holiday in the Panhandle.
