Meeting the Goodreads Challenge 2014

2014_December_Goodreads2014It’s the second year that I take part in the wonderful Goodreads Challenge. And the second year (pat myself on the back) that I met my reading challenge for the year.

As a busy working mom, who loves to also carve out time for sports, cultural events, and my own writing, I often find that my reading time is more limited than I would like, so I always keep my reading challenge to a reasonable number.

But I think the Challenge is a great way to keep yourself motivated. And it’s lots of fun to look back and review your reading lists over the years, and to accumulate interesting trivia (pages read so far this year for the novels I’ve read: 13,332!)

Plus, Goodreads is great because it keeps me updated on what my friends are reading, and I always get great reading tips from them of books I might not have heard of otherwise.

So, for those bookworms out there who haven’t yet discovered the Goodreads Reading Challenge, take a look at the site here.

Goodreads Challenge participants or not, what’s on your planned reading list for 2015? I’m always up for recommendations.

A very happy New Year, filled with health, happiness, and lots of great books!

Wow, Claire. 56 is impressive — even if you don’t meet the ambitious goal you set. Look forward to seeing what’s on your list for 2015. And hope you’re enjoying the holidays with your family!
