Wrapping up my 2025 reading year
Happy New Year!
Absolutely no idea where the time goes anymore, but hard to believe 2025 is now over – and it was another great year in books.
Once again, I met my Goodreads Reading Challenge for 2025, reading 46 books of my proposed 45. A whopping 14,622 pages of fabulous books.

And yes, I probably could have read far more if I weren’t so bus writing my own books and working as co-editor for one of my favorite books this year – Feisty Deeds II: Historical Tales of Batches and Brews.
I’ve already written my review for the anthology and the fiull list of 2025 reads by Women’s Fiction Writers Association (WFWA) authors in 2025. You can read that post here. So I do often have to set aside books I’m enjoying to crack teh whip on my own writing.

But I’m thrilled to have read many great books throughout the year, and to have reviewed them all over on my Goodreads page.
As an author, I can attest to the fact that the best gift you can give an author is to leave a review, so when you’ve read aneìd enjoyed a book, take a few minutes to leave a review so others can see what you think! You can be a legendary reviewer, too. 🙂

This year (once again) I read widely: women’s fiction, historical fiction, romance and psychological thrillers. I revisited many of my favorite authors – and discovered many more I was reading for the first time!
And I’m already looking forward to my 2026 reads.
And what about you, readers? What have been your favorite reads of 2025?

Thank you so much for reading The Italian Vineyard and for your wonderful review, Kimberly! Happy New Year to you, and wishing you a fabulous 2026 xx
Thanks, Anita! A pleasure. Wishing you & your family a Buon anno, too! (And hopefully ’26 takes you to Rome…)
