Marking Armistice Day through WWI literature

Today is Armistice Day.

The day in which the end of WWI fighting was declared at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918.

I am fascinated by WWI stories. I love the era and the way society was changing at the outset of the twentieth century.

In order to mark Armistice Day, I decided to team up with my author friend Elaine Schroller, to place our WWI novels on sale for just 99 cents -99 pence- 99 euro cents to mark this important date.

I loved Elaine’s WWI-era novel Dare Not Tell “This was a beautifully written story, with a rich sense of place, that had me fully immersed in the WWI era and 1939 France. Joe and Sophie were such engaging characters and I fully enjoyed following along as their story unfolded. I highly recommend this novel!” But don’t just take my word. The Pariries Review called it “Vividly evocative and steeped in history… Readers will be left impressed with Schroller’s control over her historical atmosphere as well as her multilayered, intriguing characterizations. An engaging, poignant tale from an author to watch.” This novel has it all – history, setting, a touch of mystery and a compelling romance. Be sure to pick this one up – you’ll love it!

And  I’ve extended my launch sale for my newest In The Shadow of The Apennines. This is a dual timeline novel (contemporary/WWI era) set in the mountainous region of Abruzzo, Italy. Kirkus Reviews says, “A poignant and hopeful story of one woman’s search for herself.”And Readers’ Favorite says, “”From the start, Sullivan’s remarkable storytelling drew me in and had me hooked to the end. The story is filled with delightful descriptions of Italian culture, the breathtaking Apennine Mountains, and details about the hardworking, courageous people who have called Abruzzo home for centuries. This is an unforgettable story about hope, finding the strength to face the past, and embracing new beginnings.”

If you love women’s fiction and historical fiction, be sure to snap up these novels at bragain prices, while they last….

For these prices, you’ll want to snap up these titles to start your Armistice Day with two novels that will immerse you in the era.
