Amongst the dinosaurs at the Brussels Museum of Natural Sciences
A work conference brought me to Brussels, a city I’ve visited many times. But the location on the conference was somewhere I hadn’t yet been – the Brussels Museum of Natural Sciences.
Since my kids weren’t in tow, I felt slightly guilty taking in the exhibition without them.
In actuality, I didn’t have much time to actually enjoy the museum, but I did take advantage of a short break to go see the dinosaurs.
It was a nice space, with lots of light and space for the towering skeletons. Apparently (so I learned), it’s the largest dinosaur hall in the world since it was renovated in 2007. The exhibition is impressive and your kids (and you) are sure to enjoy your visit here.
The museum itself was founded in 1846, and built upon the 18th century collection of Prince Charles Alexander of Lorraine. It’s open daily 9:30- 17:00, closed on Mondays.
Next time I’m here with my kids, I’ll leave more time to explore. But on this brief visit, I enjoyed my short time amongst the dinosaurs in Brussels.
