Keep going all you amazing NaNo writers!

NaNoWriMoI’m not among you, all you fabulous NaNoWriMo participants, but I do know many of you must have reached a writing slump, and I  wanted to cheer you on from the sidelines as you reach the final stretch.

For those of you unfamiliar with it, The National Novel Writing Month  is an annual challenge to write  50,000-word novel in one month. Participants don’t undertake the writing marathon for fame or fortune – theres none to be had : ) – but for the satisfaction of setting daily writing goals and sticking to them.

Last year, I interviewed talented Irish writer, Grace Tierney, who is a a regional coordinator for NaNo each year. For those of you interested in learning more about NaNo, or considering participating yourself next year, I suggest you take a look at Grace’s interview here.

Keep tapping on those keyboards, NaNo writers, you’re almost there!

I wish I could’ve participated this year. I attempted to last year, but found I had very little time to do any writing. Instead, this year, I’ve been doing a blog post every day while working on a book that wouldn’t exactly fit in with NaNoWriMo.

Hi Jay, well you’re joining NaNo in spirit, with your daily blog posts and steady novel writing. Good for you! One of these days, I’ll join, but for now I’m happy to cheer from the sidelines. Good luck with your MS!

Thanks. I hope to get some decent time to write once my wife goes back to work next month.

That daily blog post challenge is hard! I’d rather write 50,000 words of a novel 😉 Thanks for the cheer-leading, Kimberly. I’m sure I’ll convince you to nano some year…

Ugggh. Maybe when I retire… November is always one of our busier months at work. BUT I admire all of you. Hope your Irish group is all doing well. I love the team spirit of the organization. Happy writing, Grace.
