Super excited to receive the Feathered Quill Reviewer’s Choice Book Award
Recently received the news that I was awarded the 2022 Feathered Qull Reviewer’s Choice Award for my most recent novel, In The Shadow of The Apennines.
This meant a lot to me because it is the book reviewer’s selection of her favorite read for the year. You can read my Feathered Quill review here.
As a fairly new author, reviews mean a lot to me. It’s nice to see your work recognized by professional reviewers. And, on a far less lofty note, those golden stickers are just so wonderfully pretty!
As a writer, I don’t think my main motivation is to write in the hope of garnering awards. I write because I love to tell stories and I want to explore topics or periods in history. The biggest reward for me is when readers review my work or get in touch with me to tell me how much they enjoy my stories.
But I have to say that awards are the icing on the cake, so I was very happy to receive this recognition for my newest novel.
And, as I mentioned, the shiny, happy sticker being so pretty is only a plus!
