Looking forward to the Historical Novel Society’s UK conference in Durham
Last year I joined the wonderful Historical Novel Society. As a new member, I jumped at the chance to join the (virtual) Historical Novel Society America conference.
For those who don’t know, the annual writers’ conference alternates between years in the US (odd years) and in the UK (even years).
Since last year’s conference was virtual, I could join the San Antonio, TX conference from the comfort of my home in Rome. Even better, the time difference meant I could end my work day and start conferencing.
It was a fabulous experience and I learned a lot in the sessions, break-out rooms and craft classes. You can read about my experiences at the 2021 Conference at this blog post.
This year, I’m back for more, but in person “oooop” north in Durham, UK. I’m looking forward to the conference sessions and exploring the historic town – it will be my first time in Durham.
I’ll be sure to share my experiences at the conference – and for any of you who will be attending, give me a shout out!
