I wrapped up my 2019 Goodreads Reading Challenge

Every year I sign up for the Goodreads Reading Challenge, and as the year comes to a close it’s always nice to feel I’ve “ticked the box”.

It goes without saying that reaching the self-imposed goal of reading 45 novels in 2019 is far more enjoyable than, say, ticking off my dental cleaning or the completion of my taxes.

As always, it’s nice to “look back” at my reading year, and see which books kept me up at night, reading “just a few pages” before I turned off the lights, which accompanied me on vacations, which I read in airports – with one eye on the departure time, and which ones accompanied me for a day at the beach.

Book nerd that I am, I love the feature that follows a year’s end, telling me how many pages I read over the course of 2019, and reminding me of my favorite and least favorite reads.

Looking forward to another year (and another decade) of great reads. Happy reading to all!
