Gone fishing … in Bali

Bali, Indonesia - fishingI’ve never been much of a fisherwoman. I love eating fish, but I don’t have the patience or passion to go out there with a  fishing rod to try to catch them myself.

My oldest son, on the other hand, loves fishing.

So when I was in  the coastal area of Nusa Dua in Bali, Indonesia with my two sons, one morning was dedicated to a fishing trip in the Indian Ocean.

In the end, it wound up being worthwhile because my very excited fisherboys caught one small tuna fish and two grouper. We brought our catch back to the hotel where they were very proud to show off their catch.

We had a lovely dinner on the beach  eating the fish we’d caught that morning.

Now that part I loved.

I’ll look forward to more excursions with my little fishermen.

Bali, Indonesia - fishingFor non fishing activities to take part in when you’re in Bali, take a look at my earlier posts on Bali hotels, visiting the Monkey Jungle, the Bali Bird Park, Bali TreeTop adventure and the admiring the Pura Taman Ayun temple.

Out on the waves fishing yourselves, or simply in the wonderful restaurants enjoying what others have caught, you’re sure to enjoy your stay in Bali. And if you have avid fisherchildren in tow – have fun!
