Greetings from Matera!

MateraAs this goes out, I’m enjoying myself at the annual Matera Women’s Fiction Festival.

I’m probably having a brilliant time exploring the picturesque cave district of this unique southern Italian town, chatting about books and reading with fellow participants, learning all about the changing publishing industry from the panels of experts, and enjoying the creative and inspiring atmosphere when women writers come together.

I’ll be sure to post a summary at what I’ve learned from the 2014 festival on my return.

If you can’t wait ’til then, and want to see my wrap-ups of recent years, please see my posts on what I learned at the 2013 Festival and the 2012 Festival.

In the meantime, sending some writing inspiration your way from the Matera Festival!

I think the festival must be working its magic by floating its way across the pond to me as just this morning, I sussed out a little more of an old idea for a book. 😀

Anyway – sounds great and looking forward to the recap!

Oooh, yay! Working to ensure that all the great writing energy from the fabulous women here in Matera is floating its way over the Atlantic. We’re here ’til Sunday. Hope the muse continues all that time. : ) Happy writing, Janet.
