Sign up for early-bird rates for the Matera Women’s Fiction Festival

Matera Women's Fiction FestivalIt’s that time of year again – time to start planning to attend the annual Matera Women’s Fiction festival, held each September in Matera, in southern Italy.

If you sign up by 30 June 2014, you can sign up at the early-bird rates – this is meant for you Nicola, Grace, Ashlinn, Claire… and Evelyne, if you happen to be in nearby France at that time.

To my Veneto friend, Catherine, who categorically refuses to set foot in beautiful Rome – I’m assuming you’ll be down farther south next September. It wouldn’t be the same without you. And, of course, I hope my Rome writers’ group will make it down again.

If you want to learn more about the Matera festival, take a look at my round-ups of what went on at the 2013 Festival and the 2012 Festival.

And if you need any more incentive, take a look at my links on tourism in Matera and where to sleep in a cave in Matera.

Writers of women’s fiction and women writers of romance, mystery, literary fiction and young adult, be sure to sign up for this year’s event – held 25-28 September 2014.

See you in Matera!

Oh no! Now you’ve really embarrassed me! How could anyone refuse to set foot in Rome? Oh dear Kimberly, I’m on my way!
And wouldn’t miss Matera for anything..

I have no idea, Catherine, but we were just grumbling about you and your failure to visit Caput mundi at our last writing group. : ) Guess it will be Matera in September. Looking forward to it!

Oh that sounds really good, Kimberly. What best place to meet and listen and talk about women’s fiction than Italy? I won’t be there, unfortunately, but I wish you a great time with the event and with your writing too.

Thanks, Evelyne! If you’re ever back in France in September, it’s worth the short trip. I’m certain you’d love it…

I so wish I could go, Kimberly. Maybe next year? I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time. I can’t wait to hear all about i when you get back. 🙂

ps: If ‘Janet’ isn’t snapped up, will you consider joining the self pubbing revolution? Hope so!

    X

It would be too much fun to see you in Matera. Okay, try for next year! If I self-publish, it would definitely be with Janet, so I’m glad to have experts like you to help me weigh a decision. : )

I’m so jealous of your annual trip to Matera, it sounds wonderful. But with DH back in uni by those dates, there’s no way I can just disappear and leave the youngsters to fend for themselves 🙁

Haha. That’s pretty much what I do to my husband at the start of his academic year. : ) It’ll be an annual attempt to convince you, Grace. And I know you’ll have your eyes open and let me know if some wonderful writing conference starts up in some atmospheric Irish castle (still dreaming…)
